Welcome to the Homework Page! Homework is given weekly to practice the skills we have already learned in class. It is meant to be review and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. In addition to doing homework, we strongly suggest for families to practice our first grade sight words. A list of sight words for the week is always printed on the homework and I have also provided a link to the list on my website. Sight words (or High Frequency Words, HFW) are meant to be said on "sight" and should not be (in most cases) sounded out. When we assess our students on sight words they are given a 3-5 second window to read the word to their teacher.
